We use a number of different Biocidal Agents and Disinfectants in our bio-fogging sanitation and sterilisation process. This page gives you further information on the various products that we use.
The chemicals that are used during our bio-fogging sanitation and sterilisation process will very much depend on the threat level and the type of premises being treated. No two premises are alike, some will have a lot of hard surfaces, some will have soft furnishings, carpets and drapes, while others may have a lot of electrical equipment. This is why each job is carefully assessed before we carry out any sanitation or sterilisation procedures.
Mirius V2 Biocidal Sanitiser used in Fogging procedures
Our biocidal sanitiser has proven effective while remaining safe to use and fully biodegradable, it works by irreversibly binding, penetrating and immobilising bacteria, viruses and fungi so that they cannot replicate, leaving surfaces disinfected and safe to use. V2 is safe to use in food areas and has been tested to kill + 99.99% of a wide range of bacteria.
SteriZar Biocidal Sanitiser used in Fogging procedures
SteriZar is an antibacterial fogging solution with advanced barrier control, it gives an immediate kill on treated areas against most bacteria and with the barrier control the effective surface kill remains 100% effective for at least 30 days.
Goldshield Biocidal Sanitiser (also used in Fogging procedures)
Goldshield is an alcohol free antibacterial sanitiser 14 Day Surface Disinfectant and Protector (Anti Bacterial and Anti Viral). Surfaces treated with Goldshield will remain contamination free for up to 14 days. Like our V2 biocidal sanitiser it has been tested to kill + 99.99% of a wide range of bacteria plus it has been found to create a bio barrier successful in eliminating the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus
Sodium Hypochlorite used in the treatment of outdoor areas
A distilled sodium hypochlorite disinfectant is an ideal and cost effective way to sanitise outdoor areas, such as beer gardens, smoking shelters, as well as the outside surfaces of doors and ground floor windows.
Hydrogen Peroxide used in the treatment of food preparation areas
Ionised Hydrogen Peroxide is a chemical compound that is a combination of hydrogen and water and is an ideal treatment for use in food preparation areas.

To be used after basic cleaning to disinfect all hard floors and surfaces. e.g. treatment rooms, common areas, toilets, showers, swimming pool surrounds, sports equipment, air conditioning filters, external furniture, all fabrics, kitchens, bathrooms, gyms & reception desks.
Just one application offers 14 days continual protection.
Unlike most disinfectant which commonly use chlorine as their active ingredient, Goldshield uses a water-stabilised organosilane formula. Typical disinfectants or inhibitors used in hospitals generally provide no more than ten minutes of residual protection.

Other Chemicals and Biocidal Agents that we use
Hydrogen Peroxide (formula H2O2) is a chemical compound that is a combination of hydrogen and water. Ionised Hydrogen Peroxide Fogging Technology is an excellent choice when it comes to decontamination within all sectors including; healthcare, education and food preparation.
The clear liquid acts as a mild antiseptic and comes in various strengths depending on its purpose:
- 3 percent (household use)
- 6 to 10 percent (hair bleaching)
- 35 percent (food-grade)
- 90 percent (industrial).
Solutions containing more than 8 percent hydrogen peroxide are corrosive to the skin.
Sodium Hypochlorite is one of the most commonly used and most damaging disinfectants used in cleaning today. We would not recommended using it on carpets, curtains, fabrics or any fine finished surfaces. Even some metals like brass and aluminium can become corroded (tests on aluminium found that a 0.53% solution of sodium hypochlorite caused significant corrosion).
That being said, Hypochlorites are still one of the most commonly used chlorine disinfectants. Sodium Hypochlorite is commercially available as household bleach and while generally considered safe, bleach can cause skin and eye irritation. It is also corrosive to metal in high concentrations and can discolour fabric. Hypochlorites effectively kill bacteria, fungi, and some viruses. All areas must be pre-cleaned to remove organic matter before disinfection.
